Les Graue, owner and buyer, has been involved in skateboarding since high school, opening Concrete Lines after his passion for skateboarding was reignited after living in Montreal, Canada, where there was a strong skateboarding scene.
The business is family owned and operated, with Les fully involved in the day to day running of the business. The product offering is extensive, selling the best brands in skateboarding, meaning customers can get everything they need from the one shop!
All customers are made to feel welcome when they visit the shop, whether it be a Mum wanting to get a complete for her kid’s birthday or a 40 year old who wants to get back into Skating – there is no too cool for school vibes here! All staff are skaters and can help you get the best products to suit your needs – whether it be hardware/ footwear or skate apparel – they have you covered. And the location is second to none, situated right between the crystal clear beaches of Coolangatta and the Coolangatta skate park, centrally located along the iconic Strand Arcade at Coolangatta.
Les’s mentoring of up and coming skaters is un-paralleled, assisting at a store level and linking skaters with exceptional talent to distribution houses when they are ready to take the next step. Also working closely with local skate coaches (Ben @ Sea Breeze Skating / Jesse @ Rock N Slide) and building a discount program for their riders makes sure that the skating community is thriving on the Coast! DVD premiers and BBQ skate days at Cooly and Tugun keeps the scene tight and ripping!
The Concrete Lines team is impressive, with Ash Wilcomes, an 11 year old ripper, recently sponsored by Birdhouse Skateboards. Keep an eye out for this guy, he is the current under 12 QLD Bowl champion with his goal this year to land a 540!
